Patch was the cat of my (new) neighbour...
I started feeding her as she looked skinny as hell. People were telling me off because "you should never feed someone else's cat!".
I know they are right... in general. But Patch was starving. I could see it. She was left in the back garden with a huge bowl of soft food, drying up under the sunshine, without water... Her food was so crap that even the flies were hesitating to dig into it... So I carried on feeding her when I could, refusing, however to adopt her and let her in my house, still believing her owner would make an effort to treat her better.
But, I should have taken her. Now she is laying down in the very same back garden. Nobody moved her away... The flies still hesitate to dig into her...
There is another cat apparently (also skinny). I called him black (as, you guessed, he is all black!). I feed him twice a day with good soft food and whiskas milk and he is free to access the house whenever he wants.
We called the RSPCA. I won't let this one go...
